Our Vision
Together we experience every day as an exciting adventure that never stops.
We treasure time close to home but are ready to expand our horizons, exploring beliefs, visiting different lands, and celebrating cultures. We discover characters who have made a difference, both great and small. Side by side we wrestle with mathematical monsters and scientific beasts. We create the unimagined – works of pure beauty. We savour the victory when we accomplish each quest before moving on to the next. We learn to fight the fear of failure and joyfully celebrate every success.
At Bures, we dare to dream big – embracing the adventure within.

Joshua became leader of the Israelites and took over from Moses; he had big shoes to fill. Joshua became a leader with huge challenges to overcome. God gave Joshua instruction and advice which led him to success. Our community at Bures Primary School believes in the advice that was given to Joshua and has adopted it as our own vision to develop belief and achievement for ourselves and our community.
At Bures we want to grow young people who believe in themselves, so they are confident and courageous and not discouraged from their path. They are resilient when faced with challenge. We want our pupils to believe in each other and to feel supported; never alone on their journey.
Our pupils will have the strength of character to set themselves aspirational goals in learning and life. They will achieve their best and create their own inspirational story and memories. We challenge and support children in taking risks, leading their own learning and developing critical thinking to become life-long learners.
We believe that Jesus’ teachings support our children to be bold and courageous, seeing the world as a wonderful place full of opportunities, hope and adventure.
